Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence IIT Kharagpur had its Research Day on 13th November 2023. The guest of honour was Dr. Rana el Kaliouby, who delivered an insightful and exciting talk on "Why AI needs Emotional Intelligence". We also had talks by our new faculty members Dr Mahesh Mohan and Dr. Somdyuti Paul , as well as by Dr. Manjira Sinha and Dr. Tirthankar Dasgupta from TCS Research and Innovation Lab, Kolkata. Later we also an interaction session with between Dr. Rana el Kaliouby, Prof. George Bollas and our PhD students. Many thanks to Prof. PROF SURJYA K PAL and Prof. Niloy Ganguly for facilitating the event, as well as our PhD students Suraj Meshram , Dipankar Mandal and Ashiqur Rahaman Molla for the logistics!
